Finance Manager

•  Month-End Process Ownership: Lead and ensure timely and accurate completion of the month-end close process.
•  Statutory Accounts Preparation: Assist in the preparation of compliant statutory accounts.
•  VAT Returns: Ensure timely and accurate VAT submissions in compliance with HMRC requirements.
•  Control Accounts & Payroll: Maintain precise control accounts and handle payroll-related financial transactions effectively.
•  Full ownership of the Purchase ledger function ensuring smooth operation and full compliance with business KPI’s
•  Segmental Reporting & Analysis: Provide detailed analysis across four workstreams, identifying trends and opportunities through variance analysis.
•  Management Information Pack: Support the creation of clear, concise management reports for leadership and stakeholders.
•  Budget vs. Actual Comparison: Analyse performance against budget, addressing variances and recommending corrective actions.
•  Forecasting & FP&A: Support the business forecasting process and contribute to financial planning and analysis to align with strategic objectives.

•  Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or Management Accountant role in a fast-paced, growing business.
•  Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory account preparation.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficient in Excel and financial management software.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to present complex financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
